The only way to add Apple Music to Sonos is to use an iOS device. I will update this topic thread once we have fixed the issue. Unfortunately, the only workaround we know of is to use an iOS device to add Apple Music – no help to you, I know. We are aware of this new issue of being unable to add Apple Music to Sonos via an Android device and we are currently investigating it, though we have no estimate for when this will be resolved. Sonos staff said that the bug is currently under investigation but did not share any ETA on when it will be fixed. Some have allegedly contacted Sonos support who said that it is Apple’s fault and there is nothing they can do at the moment.Īs it turns out, Sonos is aware of the issue where users are unable to add Apple Music to Sonos on the Android app. Unsurprisingly, the issue has left many Sonos users angry and frustrated. This is my primary listening mode with Sonos. It did this when I tried to reauthorize, and now it’s doing the same to reconnect it. I select “ already have account”, it opens the Apple Music landing page to connect, I select connect, and it just hangs forever. I deleted Apple Music from my account to try and re-add the service. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled Sonos as others have suggested. I simply can’t get Apple Music connected to my Sonos system. How can I add apple music to my sonos system? This is clearly a problem with the android app. I also have the latest sonos app and software installed. I went through all steps on the support page and nothing worked. When I try to add apple music to sonos, I get a blank screen. It is really weird since the Apple Music app on Android is working just fine. Users say they already tried reinstalling the app, reauthorizing their Apple account, resetting Sonos device but nothing helps. People say whenever they try to link Apple Music to Sonos, all they see is a white screen instead of the Apple login screen. Now, Sonos users are reporting that they are unable to add their existing Apple Music subscription to Sonos on the Android app. Recently, users reported that they were unable to browse music on Plex. In 2020, the company generated a revenue of around $1,321 million.īut like all services out there, Sonos is no exception and has had a few hiccups on the software side of things. The multi-room audio manufacturer was founded in 2002 and is compatible with all major voice assistants, namely, Google Assistant, Siri, or Alexa. The premium high-quality speakers support almost every service you can think of, be it Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, Tidal or Audible. Sonos is undoubtedly one of the best options if you want to set up audio throughout your home. Original story (published on December 03, 2021) follows: I’m very new to Homeassistant so perhaps hacking on the Sonos integration would be a good way to allow me to dip my toe in to the water.New updates are being added at the bottom of this story……. You know, the shiny object that puts them right back at 20% functionality.Īnyway, I’m not a software dev by trade, but with enough brute force trial-and-error I can usually get things to do what I want. After a number of years of being bitched by the market, they slowly get the product to 80% functionality slowly creeping towards that 100% figure … then they suddenly decide to abandon further development of the “old” product in favor of the “new”, shiny object. The new product is released and while it’s touted as the best thing since sliced bread, in reality it only does 20% of what’s needed in the Real World™. Google reminds me a bit of Cisco Systems (working on their stuff being my day job). I’m sure there’s a handful of other missing GPM->YTM features missing that I simply don’t know about because I don’t use them. With YTM, I can no longer like/dislike tracks (to train YTM on what I do/don’t listen to) nor can I “Start Radio” on an artist/genre which I often liked to do. While I am a subscriber of YouTube Music, I don’t love the official Sonos integration one bit I greatly preferred the Google Play Music.
